STORY OF AN ARTIST

Louise Wilson

International selling artist, Louise Wilson started her career predominantly as a Child Portrait Artist. She studied Life Drawing at the Virginia Centre for the Arts in the USA. During her time in Virginia USA Louise was invited to join the world renown Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore USA. Many examples of Louise's works reside in residents in the USA where her work was widely exhibited.

Upon her return to Australia Louise took up further studies in Life Drawing and Portraiture at the Victorian Artist Society in Melbourne Australia. Many commissioned works reside in homes in Australia.

In 2002 Louise looked to further expand her experience with a thirst to explore unique and different styles of Art. During this time Louise took up classes in Decoupage at Coolum on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. This study allowed Louise to utilize her artistic talent and training to develop new and exciting effects through combining many art mediums.

Through the application of brush techniques and Ceramic encapsulation of these mediums a unique Art offering has evolved.

Louise's work is individual and sought after.

Her work is widely featured in Corporate a well as private homes. Louise is ever vigilant of the changing trends that abound throughout the Art world and strives to bring an innovative approach to her work.

Living in Cairns North Queensland for a number of years she has attracted a large following both locally and internationally with works travelling to USA, Germany, Japan and Hawaii.

Featuring locally at Kewarra Beach Resort, Cathay Pacific International Reef Lounge and the Red Chair Gallery.
